Another message from China

From the TID Squad in Jinan,
 
We have all had to set 5 goals and we achieved one goal yesterday – Holding a conversation with some of the Chinese Divers.  We can also report we are all getting better at using chopsticks. This morning we had a half day off training and went shopping in the underground market. We arrived as the place was opening, we walked in and all the shop keepers were standing at attention in lines for as far as the eye could see, a loud piece of traditional Chinese music playing. Once the music stopped they all disappeared into their shops. We had fun trying to get the best price. On our walk to the pool each day we see plenty of bikes, 3 wheeled cars and rather flash cars continually hooting their horns. The city comes alive at night with amazing coloured lights, people everywhere and lots of sound. They are preparing for Chinese New Year so we are seeing new decorations going up every-day.
Training was hard yesterday 2 ½ hours of physical in the morning and back to the pool in the afternoon for water training and then trampoline sessions. We were very tired last night so pleased Steven gave us a morning off today.
